Ellen Deason, Director of Operations and Recruiting

Ellen Deason has been Director of Operations and Recruiting for ThompsonRose since January 2006, managing the operations and specializing in the recruitment and placement of high-level accounting professionals for small to medium size businesses on a temporary, part-time or consulting basis.

Ellen began her career in personnel services in San Diego in 1988 and quickly advanced to supervisory and management roles due to her strong business savvy and talent for building client relationships.  Before joining ThompsonRose, she managed accounts for several well-established recruiting and personnel services in the region earning accolades for her client service and growing every operation in which she was in charge.

A native of San Diego, Ellen has witnessed firsthand its incredible economic expansion and knows where and how to find the financial talent and expertise that her clients require.  She has a true passion for her work and takes great pride in placing the most-qualified professional with the right employer. Her exemplary reputation in the recruiting field has allowed Ellen to foster long-term relationships with her clients, many of whom she was been working with for over 15 years.

True to her San Diego roots, Ellen is a fan of the outdoors and plays almost as hard as she works. She leads an active lifestyle enjoying extreme activities such as quad-biking in the desert and taking a ride on her Harley Davidson. Very few people know that this recruiting dynamo is also a former world skateboarding champion; Ellen held the world freestyle title for three years in the 1970’s actively competing throughout the U.S., Europe and Japan.
